Lutheran schools provide a high quality,
Christ-centered educational environment for
students of all ages, from preschool through high school and beyond. This site provides a central location to begin to explore the opportunities available to you and your family at the variety of Lutheran schools in Northeast Ohio. Overviews for each school are included, as well as links to the schools’ individual websites.
A quick note as you get started—you do not have to be Lutheran to attend a Lutheran school! Individuals of many different faiths attend. What they share is a common belief in the value of excellent academics
coupled with real-life opportunities to learn, discuss,
and model one’s Christian faith.
What is a Lutheran School?
• Lutheran schools are driven by a commitment to the gospel. Christ is the center of our lives and we teach and reflect values based on His law and His gospel.
• Lutheran schools meet or exceed state and national academic standards at all grade levels. We prepare students for educational success.
• Lutheran schools address the needs of the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
• Lutheran schools prepare students to live successfully, nurturing a passion for service to God and to one another.
• Lutheran schools employ dedicated and well-trained teachers licensed by the State of Ohio. Our teachers care about students and provide individualized instruction to them.
• Lutheran schools build diverse Christian communities of teachers, students, and families that emphasize growing together in using and sharing one’s faith.
Lutheran schools also respond to the unique needs of the community they serve. Some may specialize in a particular curriculum area, such as the arts. Others may accept vouchers, provide hot lunches, or offer unique transportation solutions.
